Sunlight? Check! Sand? Check! Bikini? CHECK! CHECK! CHECK! I don’t know about you, but I am counting down the days for this winter chill to end and to finally flaunt my curves in the summer sun. A person can only wear layers for so long before it’s time to break out the bikini. Oh yes! I did say BIKINI! 2014 was just the beginning, times have changed and so have the unwritten rules and regulations.
To all my Curvy Confident Dolls, this is YOUR year. Summer will be here before we know it, and while we wait let us purchase our bikinis so that this summer we can step out Fiercely, Fabulously, and Fearlessly! Having confidence from the top of our heads, to the sway in our hips, and right down to the stride in every step we take.For my dolls having trouble finding the perfect bikini that will accentuate their curves, do not worry I got you covered. Three years ago you couldn’t dare me to wear a 2-piece bathing suit. My self-esteem wouldn’t allow me, I was scared of what people would say and the stares I would receive. I realized that in order for me to be happy & who I wanted to be I needed to be confident within myself (Hint: That’s when “Confidence Is You” was born). The comments & stares of others couldn’t break me; I had to be myself regardless. I wanted to go to the beach, walk up and down the sand with my big ass and be happy. That’s exactly what I did and will continue doing.
For my Dolls who are worried about being judged about their bikini, remember people will talk about you regardless so why worry about what they will say. You want to wear a bikini, head over to Swimsuitsforall, Monif C, Forever21, H&M, etc. and get yourself a bikini, put it on, and rock it being yourself; Happy and Confident!
