People Of Excellence, You Are Excellence!

Do you have a dream? Are you scared to fail? Do you believe in yourself? Do you feel at times your dreams won't come true? What is stopping you from making your dreams come true? I've asked myself those same exact questions at one time in my life but I knew that I needed to believe in myself in order to make my dreams come true. It wasn't easy, I had a few setbacks but the hunger I had to go for what I believed in motivated me to never stop. A week ago on March 22, 2015, I was part of an event that give me motivation and as well as inspired me push even harder with my dreams and to never give up on myself.

A friend of mines Correy Kaiten last year had an idea to do an event where people would come to hear others speak and leave motivated and inspired to follow their goals and their dreams as well. We all need motivation, some of us are scared to follow our dreams. Last year he did it and I was one of the speakers to share my story on how I got started with "Confidence Is You". It was truly an amazing experience to hear so many people share their stories and how they never gave up despite what was going on in their lives. This year it was even bigger and even more touching with guest host Interior Designer/ CEO of The Beautiful Experience  Of 10 years Keisha Franklin. I wasn't a speaker but I was definitely part of it sharing a vendor table with my Best Friends to showcase our brands. Jacyra is a baker and has her own business MadeByJacy, from cupcakes, cakes, stawberries, she does it all. Lakarra has an event planning production called Simply Younique Productions with her mother where from baby showers, sweet 16 and birthday parties, they can bring your vision to life. From us playing Double Dutch when we were 12 years old to now becoming sisters with businesses.

The event was amazing from beginning to end, there were 7 speakers from Rae Holliday, Chyna Dollhouse, DJ Norie, Pretty Lou, Datwon Thomas, Kabriah Asha & FiestyFlavors Catering. Each of their stories inspired me and gave me a push to keep going with my dreams and when I feel discouraged to keep on pushing no matter what. They didn't sugar coat anything, they shared their struggles as well as why they never gave up. From Rae Holliday having both parents as alcoholics, losing his corporate job and losing everything at one point if his life and was forced to move into a space where he didn't want to, he never gave up. He had a vision and no matter how hard it got, he was determined to keep on pushing and make things happen for himself.

He said something that made me think " what are you on earth for?", God give us this life to live but what will be your legacy. Rae mentioned that his aunt passed away with her dream as becoming a chef, all she ever wanted to be was a chef and open up her own restaurant " Not too big, Not too small" but she never got a chance to make her dreams come true. Would you want to die knowing that you never had the chance to make your dreams? Would you want to be on this earth without accomplishing anything you wanted to accomplish? Think about it! What are your dreams? What will you be remembered for if you were to die? I thought about it, I didn't want to be remembered as "Yanika, An Amazing Daughter, Sister & Friend", I wanted to be remembered for my hard work, dedication and how with my dreams of "Confidence Is You", I inspired and motivated millions of girls around the world.

We all have a purpose on this earth, we aren't here just to play around and not do anything with our lives. I know it's not easy, I know it can be hard going after something you love but that's when you have to believe in yourself and go even harder. What are you afraid of? There are people out there who won't let nothing stop them,  NOTHING!!!!  One of the speakers that was there proved that nothing can stop him, as being New York #1 host, Pretty Lou is still standing strong with a mic in his hand hosting parties as he is battling CANCER. This man could of given up on his dreams after he found out he was diagnose with Cancer but that pushed him even harder to keep on pushing and to keep on inspiring people that no matter what it is to never give up on their dreams.

One of my dearest friends died from cancer and I remembered talking to her and she would share all of her dreams with me and it hurts me to see that she never got to make one of her dreams come true as in going back to school. Here you are reading this and probably afraid to go for what you BELIEVE in. Pretty Lou could of just given up but he refused to let Cancer win, he refuse to let Cancer control his dreams. As he is fighting for his life, he is still fighting for his dreams. His story touched me on so many levels, you can't let ANYTHING and ANYONE come between what you believe in. As I pray for him, I know he will beat this battle and win this fight just like he is still beating the battle of living his dreams come true.

One of the guest speakers was Datwon who is an executive director for Vibe Magazine. From being raised in Brooklyn as he watch Biggie Smalls and Junior Mafia living the life after going for what they believed in, he knew he was capable of doing it as well. He had a vision and he knew that one day he will make his vision come true. He started as an intern for vibe and what was so interesting about this story is that he was in school on the computer when he seen the ad that Vibe needed an intern with just a little change  in his pocket, he called the number that they posted to call if interested. He called and the guy told him  " Come on Saturday and expect 300 people there on the line with you". 300 people, I would of personally been scared to go, I would of doubted myself thinking why out of 300 people, I would be the one to be picked.

Datwon Thomas  went, he was excited and when he got there he noticed that he was the only one there. They guy told him 300 people were going to be there to see if he would be scared. What if he had never went all because he was scared ? This is why I tell you My Confident Dolls not to be scared of anything especially when it comes to you making your dreams come true. Doubt and fear will take over at times but you have to overcome them and go for what you believe in. He went determined to get an internship and he got it. Fast forward to a few years later, he is the executive editor for Vibe.

I Got The Chance To Finally Meet Someone Who Inspires Me To Keep Going Forward With My Dreams & To Never Give Up And She Was One Od The Speakers As Well. She Is A Mom, Wife, Business Owner & Entrepreneur. What I Love Most About Her Is That Despite Every Obstacle She Goes Through In Life, She Never Stopped Going For Her Dreams. She Pushes Herself To The Limit  No Matter What Anyone Had To Say. I Watched Her Build Nothing To Something As In Doing Makeup At Other People Shops And Now Owning Her Own Makeup Shop In Brooklyn Called "Dollhouse"As Well As Having Her Own Cosmetic Makeup Line. She Is Her Own Boss & She Is The Definition Of A Go-Getter.  I Won't Say Anymore Because I Told Her I Want To Interview Her The Blog. (Iam Going To Make That Happen). But Her Story Was Inspirational & Iam Glad I Was There To Hear It. We Both Went Through Some Bad Ppl But We Standing Stronger Than Ever Before Letting Them Haters Know "They Can't Stop Us"

Kabriah Asha, a young artist who knew she was artistic at the tender age of 6 was truly a delight to hear. At the age of 21 years old, she made a name for herself and is already determined to take her art to another level. Her art is truly amazing and there is a story with every piece you see. Kabriah says her family is what keeps her grounded, with both parents being successful and building a name for themselves, she wants to do the same. At such a young age she has a drive and ambition that gave me some motivation to keep on going. I know she will go on to doing amazing things in the near future, her art is her passion and will be her testimony in this life.  My Confident Dolls it doesn't matter how old you are or what you been through, it's never too late to go for what you believe in and make your dreams come true.

The reason why it was important to write this blog is to inspire you and motivate you to go for what you believe in. Yes, you will go through obstacles but you have to keep pushing and make all of the dreams you dream of day and night come true. Skies the limit and nothing is impossible to achieve. We just live in a society where people will do anything to make you believe that you can't make it or will do anything to discourage you and break you down. No one and Nothing can stop what is meant for you, God is in control with what is meant for you. Stop letting your fears and doubts win, you got this. I believe in you and no dream is too big for you to achieve. If I have to push you on a daily basis, than I will. I want all if us to succeed and die knowing our dreams will live on. Stop wishing and dreaming and make it happen. You Can and You Will, Believe In Yourself.

He Isn't Who Hurt You.

 The past is the past, what you went through in the past doesn't matter anymore but I understand that you may think of it time to time especially when it involved your heart being broken. No body wants to relive their heart being broken, I know I don't but what I learned in life is that you have to take chances. If you worry about what happen in the past, how will you know what the future brings you. 

You meet a guy, he is exactly what you want in someone to love you. He shows you a great time and the more he does, the more you find yourself opening your heart to him. Memories of your past starts creeping up in your mind, scared that he may not be everything he seems. The pain you went through in the past never gave you hope to want to love again therefore you locked your heart up to never give it another chance to be free. He likes you and he truly sees the Queen that you are but you refuse to believe him. 

I've been there and for two years I refused to open my heart, my past truly traumatized me but he took his time to heal my heart and he was patient to wait until my heart was completely healed so I can love him properly. Fast forward to now, we have been together for almost 2 years now. I always ask myself "what if I never would of let my guard down to love again?", truth is I would of missed out on true love. I would of missed out on someone actually treating me as the Queen I am. I gave him a chance with my whole being, of course Iam  scared to get my heart broken again. I don't know what the future holds, but for righty now Iam loving him more and more each and everyday. Things  do happen but you have to also remind yourself as well that your heart will heal again and life goes on.  

The men that hurt you and didn't treat you as you we're suppose to in the past wasn't worthy of having you. I call all my Exes different experiences. They all taught me that they weren't worthy of having me, as much as my heart was in pain, I learned a lesson from my pain. When it first happen, of course you will never understand why you are going through the pain of a broken heart but in due time you will be happy that the situation you were in is now over. 

Don't let the next man that comes into your life suffer for the mistake the last asshole did to you.  Not everyone will see the beauty of your worth, but you are worthy of having someone love you for exactly who you are. Stop putting your guard up, stop being so afraid to love again. Not all men are the same, they are all different. You will go through different situations and BS experiences with every love you have. 

You deserve a guy that can make your heart forget it was ever broken, if you haven't find him yet, BE PATIENT! Never rush love, trust me it will come when you least expect it and at times it will be someone who is already in your life. You just have to be patient as I said many times before YOU ARE WORTHY OF SOMEONE LOVING YOU! 

Yes you have been hurt before and so have thousands of other women, it will hurt but your heart will heal again. Don't let go of someone who wants to love you, what if he isn't playing you?! What if everything he tells you is the truth? But you so caught up with those that hurt you, you're not realizing how good he is to you. Let go of the past and those who hurt you, they didn't deserve you. He isn't who hurt you, stop letting love go by because you are scared, remind yourself YOU DESERVE LOVE.

The Worst Sadness Is Fake Happiness.

It was about two weeks ago, I was hanging out with my brother Stephan  ( not my biological brother because I have none  but he is closest to one) when we were talking about something and he said " The Worst Sadness Is Fake Happiness". As soon as he said it I told him, "Iam writing a blog about that quote". The reason why I felt that it was important for me to write this blog is because I've been there where I would fake my own happiness just to satisfy others or to make myself believe that I was happy. I know people who do the same, they would just pretend just like I did not realizing that they are only hurting themselves even more. 

It was a challenge to finally realize that I deserved to be happy but I knew the only person to make me genuinely happy was myself. Why pretend to be happy? Why fake your happiness? You deserve to be happy and not pretend to be. I know things can get tough and at times we don't want to put our business out there for everyone to see but  pretending won't solve anything. While you're pretending the issues that you are facing will never go away because you aren't letting yourself face them and make a change. 

Being unhappy isn't the way to be and it isn't the way to live your life. If you're in a relationship where you have pretend to be happy, then that isn't the relationship that you are suppose to be in. Why stay with someone that will never make you smile inside and out. I've been there and I wasted YEARS of my life thinking things were going to change, but if I would of moved on from the time I felt that I wasn't happy, I would of saved myself from many broken hearts. If you have a job that you aren't proud to be doing, why stay?! Oh because it pays your bills. I understand but at the same time your happiness matters so while you're at the job that's making you miserable, apply at other jobs and follow your passion until something that you love comes your way. 

That's another thing people stay in situations that they aren't happy only wishing it will change. Nothing will change unless you make the efforts for it to change. You can't depend on no one to make that change for you when your happiness besides yourself matters the most. Nothing is easy to accomplish but you are the only one that can make that accomplishment. Don't pretend to be someone else you're not just to see others happy. Don't pretend to be happy knowing that it's only hurting you more. 

Your smile is what's important and the most beautiful curve you have, don't let another minute go by feeling miserable about what's going on in your life. I've learned that no pain last forever, it may hurt now but in due time you will be just fine. Don't fake your happiness when happiness is what you deserve in your life.

Be You, Be Confident & Don't Be Afraid To Be Freaky.

I know at times not being in love with your body or not having the confidence you wish for can get in the way of you being sexual or freaky with your partner. Your insecurities and what you may think is flaws (Your Flaws Are Beautiful) can stop you from doing a lot of things that you want to do but afraid of doing. As he tells you to put the lights on, you're scared of him to see all of you underneath your clothes. In your mind you're afraid that once he see your stomach, your rolls and those thighs of yours, he may get turned off and not want to deal with you anymore. I know how you feel but I've learned that if he really cares about you and love you for you all of you as he should, he will accept you, flaws and all NO MATTER WHAT. 

None of us are perfect, we all have flaws which are beautiful as well but are you going to let your flaws and insecurities come between you and your sex life?  NO! Turn on the lights, let him see every single inch of you and show him what you're working with. Don't let that gut stop you from doing tricks and besides like I always say , under every gut there is some good p*ssy.  It doesn't matter if your stomach is too big or you have rolls on your back and your ass to phat, well let him feel all of you. Let  him make love to every part of your body, let him play with your p*ssy as he kiss on your rolls. 

You will know the difference between a real man that is into you and a man who just want to f*ck you. A man who is after the kitty will not care about you being naked or having the lights on, he is only interested to know what color your Vicky panties are.  Now a real man want to see all of you and as you tell him "you're scared" to be naked, he makes you feel comfortable and confident to not be so afraid. In my relationship in the past, Girl I told him I was scared to take my shirt off, years later my shirt was still on. He never made me feel comfortable or even confident to not be so afraid to show him every inch of me. I think that is where my insecurities stems from and now I have a man who hates when I have clothes on in bed. He doesn't care if I dislike how big my stomach is, "Get on top" is what he says. 

If you're in a relationship with a man who obviously loves you, PUT YOUR CONFIDENCE ON AND GET NAKED!! Go in the bedroom butt naked and let him be your motivation. Please don't let the "Iam Fat" corrupt your mind and not be able to please your man. Let your rolls be great love handles as he is deep inside of you hitting it from the back, matter of fact throw it like a quarterback, let him not be able to handle that big ol booty of yours. 

Don't let anything come in between you having a good nut, don't only satisfy him but satisfy yourself as well. Don't let the little voices in your head which I call "insecurities" ruin things for you. Seriously forget about how big your stomach is, forget about your rolls and give him your all. A man loves a confident women, they really do and if you won't get naked for him and satisfy him, sorry to say someone else will. They might still have sex with you so you won't get suspicious but if he's like my Ex, he won't have sex with you but will be having sex with someone else who is willing to do everything to satisfy him. But I know if my Ex would of taken the time to make me feel comfortable I would of been throwing it back at him. Oh well let him still want that old thing back but I've moved on to something bigger and better (Wink Wink). 

You don't want to feel the pain of a broken heart due to your insecurities, sex is so much better with clothes off anyways. Don't be scared to show your temple to the man you love, LOVE YOUR BODY, LOVE EVERY INCH OF YOURSELF and EMBRACE YOUR CURVES. Confidence is you which means your body as well and I want you to be proud of it. 

He wants you on top, don't think to yourself "Iam too big", let go of your  insecurities, position yourself on top of him and give him the best ride of his life. Let those rolls jiggle, don't let the million thoughts going through your head stop you from enjoying the ride. Position yourself even more, place his hands on your breasts or even on your butt as you go up and down. Tell him how good he is making you feel, moan his name at the top of your lungs, Confidence Is You, Girl show him how confident you really are. Control that penis, don't let it control you, ride it with CONFIDENCE until you climax all over him. I won't lie being on top wasn't happening for me too but I realized I had to dominate the bedroom as well.

Be confident, stop being so afraid that you won't even come close to having an orgasm. Let go of your insecurities and remind yourself that you are beautiful.  

I know it's hard to let go of your insecurities and be confident within yourself but if you have someone who loves you for all of you and want to satisfy you in more way than one with one of them being in the bedroom than let him.
