It's NEVER Too Late!!!!!

A mother, wife, grandmother, daughter and sister with a career, this women of many titles, a women of excellence I  call her.  At the age of 49 years old, Martine Agnant made one of her many dreams come true which was graduating from college. Her motivation to take the initiative to get her degree was achieving a promise more than motivation that she made to herself after she got married that brought her back to school. She told her husband that she wouldn’t let being a wife and mother stop her from getting a degree. Her children knew about her dreams and as they were growing up, they asked when would she take that step. They were passionate about her dreams just as much as she was.

The first person she did it for was herself ( My confident dolls make sure when going after your dreams you are doing it for yourself before anyone else) than it was her family and friends which would know her schedule and made her stay focus with her studies and homework rather than being on the phone. It wasn’t easy balancing the many roles she played in her personal life while going after her education having to meet deadlines at both work and school. Her mother and husband alleviated the weight off her shoulder many times and she was grateful for that. Her mother would always have a meal waiting for her when she came home from school, her mother wouldn’t even go to bed until she was home from school. Her husband was there 2 nights a week for the last 2 years in the Canadian winter as her private chauffer.

            (Martine With Her Family)

At the times when it would get hard, she never wanted to give up. This was her dream and by any means necessary she would make it come true. What she disliked the most was group assignments and the only reason why is because it was quite challenging working around everyone schedule. The first day of school wasn't so bad, it was awkward. She do remember seeing a lady that lived on her block which made her at ease but unfortunately she didn't finish with the program. I asked her how did she feel walking across the stage and what was running through her mind?  "I did it, I achieved my goal". All the hard work and the promise she made to herself and her family came true. Her dreams of going back for something she believed in came true as she walked across that stage.

She never felt it was too late to go back to school, as long as it's something you believed in than it's never too late. She also said she will continue getting an education, there is more for her to accomplish. What advice would you give to those who believe it is too late for them to go back to school because of their age? She said "It’s never too late. My mom went back to school in her early 50’s, I went in my 40’s. I was amazed by the percentage of people returning to school at a certain age.  I have learned so much from their experience". Now that you accomplish what you always dreamed of, what else would you like to accomplish?  Martine said "Take it easy for the summer, enjoy my city, vacation and will come up with a challenge for sure. There is no stopping me, nothing can stop me. when I want something, I go after it."

Finish the sentence: Confidence is Me she said "because I would like to inspire others to fulfill their dreams. Take risks in order to learn from them and achieve better things. Always do what you believe to be right.  even if others mock or criticize you for it. The best part of my journey is that I was committed, and did all in my power to accomplish my goal". I agree, my point of featuring Martine is to show you that it's never too let to accomplish your dreams and make them come true.

                     She Did It!!!!!!!

At times we feel as if it's too late but who said it was? No matter what it is you want to accomplish or go after in life you can as long as your living. If your dreams never came true, blame yourself. You gave up and believed you couldn't do it. How come Martine at 49 years old didn't give up?! You know why she didn't because she believed in herself and kept on pushing to make her dreams come true.  Anything is possible to accomplish and you can be anything you want to be. Don't let anyone tell you that it's impossible to do it, once you believe in yourself then you already have taken the first step of making your dreams come true. I always knew I wanted to be a writer but deep down inside I felt as if I couldn't. I pushed myself and told myself each and everyday that I will become a writer. It wasn't easy but I never  gave up. I became a published author in 2013 and it's just the beginning for me. It won't be a easy journey going for any dream that you're after  and it may be a slow process but quitting won't speed it up. Be patient and trust your journey. Fight for what you believe in and most of all BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, CONFIDENCE IS YOU!

A Confident Love From Me To You
