Despite the circumstances you been through in life, those circumstances doesn't define YOU.
We all go through things but one of our best powers is that we are STRONG and we can bounce back from anything. Always keep in mind MY QUEEN that no matter what you go through in life you will be JUST FINE. God gives his strongest soldiers the toughest battles, Oh yes he does!.
YOU are SMART, You are TALENTED with a list of goals that YOU CAN AND WILL ACCOMPLISH because YOU GOT THIS! Stop DOUBTING yourself just put your MIND AND FOCUS into It. 
You are WORTH it... I repeat, YOU ARE WORTH IT. Just because you felt the pains of a broken heart doesn't mean that you aren't worth it . Things happen, you were just too good of a women for that person and that's OK. Life Goes ON!!!!!

My Queens, let's uplift each other instead of breaking each other down, There is enough room for all of us to win so why break down another queen just so she doesn't make it. Inspire her, push her and give her the motivation that she needs so she can do better. 
We all need Motivation on a daily basis. We all have to support each other and be there for one another. I know that motivating and inspiring others is what I need to do, I want all of my queens to succeed and just be happy. Happiness is such a beautiful feeling and to be genuinely happy is beyond amazing.

Life isn't easy so don't be too hard on yourself.

Blocked & Sealed

Have you ever had someone in your life that doesn't bring any good to you? Have your mother or father ever tell you that someone isn't good for you? Well we all had someone in our lives that didn't bring good into our lives but we were blinded to it. I look back on my life with NO REGRETS but I do know that I could of saved a lot of tears if i would of just listened to my mother. Now Iam not just talking about having a boyfriend, Iam also talking about friends and family. Usually people think " Oh, she's my friend and she will never hurt me" or " Oh, we are  family, we will always be good". But guess what? SHIT HAPPENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That friend that you never thought will hurt you, will now you know the real her and that family member that you say will never hurt you because blood is thicker than water, here you are not speaking to them.

I know that you can't put all your trust into someone anymore because things happen and that's just the reality of it. Iam not saying not to trust anyone but you do have to be careful with people around you no matter if they been your friend for 10 plus years or if they are family. I've been hurt by people I trusted my soul with and those individuals are the one that hurt me the most. I just recently started putting myself first and not putting anyone above me besides God and my son. I refuse to get hurt again by someone I love so I don't put my whole entire trust into anyone anymore and I just go with the flow. My guard isn't up and I don't have an icebox in my chest, Iam just cautious with who I allow in my space.

In life you LIVE AND LEARN, everything that we go though is a lesson to be learned but sometimes we don't see it as a lesson. I can think back to years ago having someone that I couldn't live without, she was my friend but everyone around me always told me that she wasn't  good for me and that hanging out with her will block my blessings. I didn't listen because I truly believed she wouldn't hurt me. Our friendship wasn't the same at some point but I kept on forcing it because once again she was my "FRIEND", while all of her blessing came pouring, nothing in my end was working for me. I wasn't working at the time and for the life of me I couldn't get a job, I was miserable but still hanging out with my "friend'. It wasn't until she told me that she hooked her babyfather girlfriend up with a job that I realized that she wasn't my "friend". How can you hook up the girl your man left you for and cursed you out day ad night with a job but not the girl that's been your ride or die since day one with a job?. That truly opened up my eyes and the guy she was dated at the time even told her that she wasn't a true friend for that.


That made me overthink everything about our friendship but yet I couldn't LET IT GO and it wasn't until my birthday that something happened when I realized that she wasn't my friend. I decided at that moment that no matter what I had to let her go even if it hurted me doing so. I stopped talking to her and it wasn't until 2 years later that I heard from her from an unknown number telling me "congratulations on my book and how she brought a copy", I simply wrote back "Thank you" and blocked that number. I was done with her and done with that situation and its crazy to say but once I removed her from my life, blessing just started pouring for me. Sometimes it's the company that you keep that blocks your blessings. Their vibes and energy and whatever else they are wishing on you will make shit not work for you.

You have to pay close attention and stay cautious to who you call a friend, the reality of it is not everyone is your friend and that's OK. At times you think you need someone in your life, when you don't. It took me years to realize this but here I am living my best life without people I thought I couldn't live without. From friends to Ex boyfriends, IAM GREAT!  Iam not writing this blog for you to not trust anyone in your life, Iam writing this blog to share my experience like I always do and for you to just have your eyes open and be cautious of who is around you. Not everyone you keep around you wants good for you and this is why you have to also be careful with who you trust and who you let in your life.

I have so many things going on in my life as I mention before there is only a handful of people I trust with sharing things with. I don't know who is wishing bad on me, maybe no one is but another reality is NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO SEE YOU HAPPY OR TO SEE YOU WIN so therefore I keep my eyes open and remain cautious around everyone around me. Always be true to who you are, don't be afraid to do what makes your happy but always PAY ATTENTION and STAY CAUTIOUS.  You are destined for greatness but it is important for us to surround ourselves with people who deserve to feel our fire. You will be even GREATER if you let go of things and people that doesn't serve you to be the BEST version of yourself or deserve you. Block, Seal, Let Go & Let God

Bryndaisha & Kevin Love Story!

I Love LOVE, there isn’t a day that I don’t thank God for sending Marc my way and him being patient with me while healing my heart to give a love another chance. When I started the blog, I knew I wanted to write start a segment where it would be dedicated to love. I didn’t only want to share my experiences with love, I wanted to give other couples the chance to share their stories and their love with everyone. It’s been over a year since I featured anyone but I knew that I had to bring it back and why not bring it back on Valentine’s Day. 

Now Valentine’s Day isn’t the only day to show your love and admiration for someone you love, it should be each and everyday. I decided to feature a married couple that are the real definition of REAL LOVE. Some people give up on love once they get their heart broken and just feel like love isn’t for them. Love is for everyone and everyone deserves love no matter what. You just have to be patient until the right one comes along. I know, it sounds cliche but it’s true. I wrote many blogs writing about my experiences with love and how I had given up on love but once I believed in love again and I knew God would send me the right one, I’ve been on cloud 9 ever since 2013. 

Bryndaisha Byrd, I've  have been following her  on Instagram for years. I admire her, her FASHION & her love for her significant other Kevin. I remember when she posted their wedding day picture, it was beautiful and intimate. If you follow her, you will see the love she has for her husband and you can also tell they are best friends. So once I knew I wanted to bring this segment back for the blog, I just knew I wanted her to share her journey of love. 

They met back in July of 2011. He worked for Redbull and Bryndaisha was a bank teller at the time. He would always go to her  window to make his deposit.. After awhile of small talk he asked her for her number and after weeks of not using it lol he finally called and they went out one night. Literally inseparable ever since, Wouldn’t say love at first sight... More like true best friends who just so happened to fall in love. They were together for 3 yrs prior to getting engaged. It was Christmas Eve of 2014, They were on our way to Bryndaisha  favorite Soul Food spot in Philly (Relish) and as they  were driving, Kevin  just started crying.. his voice was  shaken up and he was asking Bryndaisha the craziest questions like how much did she love him & if she seen forever with him.. needless to say they didn’t make it to the restaurant before he proposed like his original plan.

Relationships are perfect and Bryndaisha says that one of the keys for couples to keep the love alive is to Never stop hanging out.. Dating is HUGE in their relationship. (Groupon is the homie) They go out all the time! If Bryndaisha come across or hear about a dope spot THEY ARE THERE! They  keep it fresh by trying out new things. Her Advice would be to stop repeating the same ‘ol places and try something new! Literally, what made Kevin special to her was how real he was. He would tell her  EVERYTHING. Always showed concern, asking her questions & giving advice that only a grown ass man could give. He wore his heart on his sleeve around her played no games about her. He was so strong and soft at the same time, everything Bryndaisha could ask for in a husband.

They  got married at the Justice of the Peace on 11/21/16, They were in the process of planning a big wedding and they had already waited 2 years... One day Bryndaisha just decided that they should stop waiting and just do it. Keep all the money for the down payment on their first home & God willing top of next year they will be. If you are afraid to be in love, Bryndaisha says no matter how afraid you are.. You haven’t truly been FREE until you’ve felt it! I agree, Set yourself free from all the pain and all the hurt and believe that there is indeed someone out there for you.

Their  honeymoon was beautiful, they spent it at the RIU Cabo San Lucas with 6 other close couple friends of theirs. For anyone planning a wedding, Bryndaisha says Do what you CAN, have the wedding that you and your spouse want. Those are the only feelings that should be taking into consideration when planning and preparing for your day. As for the future they  have a-lot of travels on the horizon. Toronto in a week, Costa Rica in June, LA for my 30th Bday in November ( Can I come? lol) . They definitely plan on seeing as much of the world as they can. Now as for as starting a family .. well thats Gods plan!But they  would love to be parents.. Last but no least, Confidence is LOVE because it takes courage to truly stay in it.

Their love is one of a kind and I know that the BEST IS YET TO COME for Bryndaisha & Kevin. Relationships aren't easy, it takes a lot of work but when you love one another, you will make it work and overcome everything that you are faced with. As Bryndaisha mentioned, DATE MORE, COMMUNICATE, and HAVE FUN with one another. There is love for you if you haven't found your love yet, if you have been hurt before, heal yourself from it and move on. You can't hold on to the pain and expect magic to happen. Iam glad I had someone to help me through with letting go of the pain to make me believe in love again. Bryndaisha & Kevin, Iam planning on coming to Philly this summer, Double date please? ( Iam so serious lol) but I wish you both nothing but the best and many more years of love and blessings. FOLLOW THEM ON IG @THE_LOVEBYRDS

2018 Is STILL Your Year.

Woohoooo, We survived the first month of 2018, January felt so long. I swear it felt like the whole year of 2018 in just one month. Despite the fact that it was a long month, we survived it and it was truly a month for us to prepare ourselves mentally to attack and reach all of our goals that we set for 2018. January is a trial month, its a month for us to create the dots and connect them through out the year.

I set so many goals for this year and have I accomplished them all within just a month? Absolutely not, the goal wasn't to accomplish them all in just one month  but to work on them and make a plan for each and every one of them so I can eventually reach them within this year. The thing about reaching our goals is to NEVER GIVE UP!!! No matter what you may go through in life, if you have a goal to accomplish, make sure you turn your goal into a reality. I said it before, One of my goals is to be on NY best seller list one day and it will happen one day but I know I  have a lot of work to do so I can get there one day. I don't depend on anyone to help me with my goals and you neither should you.

I realized that depending on others will always slow you down and most of the time the people that we depend on don't have the same interest on achieving the same goals that we have so depending on them won't help YOU in the long run. I only keep those around me that supports me and want to see me WIN. The truth is not everyone wants to see you win and even if they say they want to see you win, deep down inside they are wishing on your downfall. That's why they are only two people besides God, My mother and Marc I tell my goals to because these two individuals pushes me and make me believe in myself more each and every time I tell them I have a new goal. They never doubt me, they just say " YOU CAN DO IT & YOU WILL" and they are my Best friend Yessenia who I have known for 18 yrs and my friend Shantelle aka Peaches who I have known for almost 5 years. Don't get me wrong there are a few others that believe in me but those five including God because with all things God will find a way to make it happen pushes me more than I even push myself.


I set a Goal for the new year to read a new book each and every month and Guess what? not only did I finish a book ( Taraji P Henson "Around the way girl"..which btw is an amazing book) I started reading a second book in the month of January ( Shonda RHimes " The Year Of YES"). I also promise to change some of my eating habits and I have, drinking more water and eating way more fruits and vegetables, I haven't really started my workout goal but its ok. The year isn't over yet, and we have 11 more months to make things happen. So if you haven't started yet, don't think or feel that its too late. It's NEVER TOO LATE, you just have to believe within yourself and connect your dots and make it happen for yourself. No one is going to be there to help you but yourself.


So 2018 is still YOUR year, make things happen for yourself and stop doubting yourself. All things are possible to reach, you just have to believe that you are capable of reaching it. Like I said its all about connecting the dots and reaching for our goals one step at a time. AND even if you don't achieve the goals that you set for yourself to achieve in 2018, Keep mind that those goals will be achieved one day. Thank You 31, Hello Confident Age OF 32.

Happy Birthday To ME, Today I turn 32 years old!!!! It feels like it was just yesterday I turned 16 years old celebrating my birthday at BBQs in the city with all of my friends, Time Flies! Before I write about what I wish for being the beautiful age of 32, I have to say THANK YOU to 31. The Journey, this past year has truly been one of the best years of my life. 

Being 31 years old was truly an amazing and remarkable age for me, not only did I become a mother to a beautiful baby boy but this was also the age where I allowed myself to grow, to learn and not be afraid to do so and also did some self improvement. I knew that becoming a mother, I had to change certain things in my life and I had to improve myself as well as those changes so I can be the best mother that I can be for MJ. It wasn’t an easy road but it was absolutely worth it. I wouldn’t change anything because everything that was meant to happen, happened. It was all in God’s plan and Iam thankful for every lesson learned and for things that I used to be blind to allowing me to really see things for what it was. 

I blossomed into a beautiful flower, yes I’ve always blossomed and wore my crown very well but with this age it was just different and it felt better. In life there will be many stages that you go through  but you can’t allow those stages to break you or define who you are. I learned that the most this year and realized that no matter how much I wanted things to change or things to be, GOD WAS IN CONTROL. I learned to let things be and what is meant to be, it will always be. 

For my confident age of 32, I just pray for continued success, happiness, love and wealth. This year is about setting goals and accomplishing them all. This year is about traveling more, experiencing more, saying more YES and Less NO, having more faith, growing more, loving myself more while being truly happy within myself and just being the BEST mother, daughter,wifey,sister and friend that I can be. Iam going to make 32 be better than 31, Iam claiming it. I won't let anything or anyone disturb my growth and glow, I worked to hard as well as pray day and night to be where I am now in life. I just want to keep on getting better and richer( richer with life,family,love and happiness). 

Iam truly blessed and grateful for it all, I just want the best for myself and I know with prayer and hard work, it will happen. 32, let's kick ass and smile through it all. There will be a few bumps that will come but we will overcome everything that comes our way. Let's make this a magical year and have the time of our lives.

Pay Attention & Listen.

Since Friday something has been telling me to write this blog, I usually look for topics that I can relate to or things I went through in the past to write about. 2 days later on this beautiful Sunday afternoon at 3pm, that something pushed me to get my laptop and start writing. I had NO EXCUSES to not start writing  especially since Messiah was sleeping. That something that was telling me to write this blog was God, Yes GOD! That little voice that you hear inside of your head 9 out of 10 times is God but of course at times we don't listen to HIM.when things got rough, I wanted him to know that Iam grateful for him through the good and the bad. I wanted to dedicate some time during my day where it was only for him. Yes praying can be part of it which is something that I do everyday but I wanted to do something else, something a little bit more.

Heather Lindsey is her name and I've been following her for the past few years on Instagram, she is a preacher, mother,wife and LOVES JESUS. I admire her and she is definitely an inspiration to me to follow my heart, make my dreams come true and be the best mother to Messiah. On December 30,2017, she posted how she was starting her Journal challenge once again, I read it and bingo there was my something else to dedicate more time with God. The purpose of the Journal challenge was to devote sometime each and everyday and write to God while emptying your heart to him. It was perfect, I love to write and to write to God about my troubles, my concerns, my achievement and much more was exactly what I needed to do. I emailed Heather and told her I wanted to join, the next day I was in her challenge.

Since January 1st, I've been writing to God. I devoted 10 mins of my time ( for now) to write him a few sentences on what is in my heart. I must admit it is one of the best things that I devoted my time doing for Myself. It is important that we be grateful for it all, it is also important to Thank God through the good and YES ALSO THE BAD. I know things happen that you question God, WHY? Why am I  going through this? Why Me?. I've been through it but I realized that each and every time I go through something where I feel that my life is over, God picks me up and deliver something much bigger and better. I've also realized that he removed me from certain situations that wasn't benefiting to me and he actually saved me.

The thing is whatever it is that we go through in life we never really know if it will happen and when it does happen, we are asking ourselves a million questions but never take time to see the good in the bad. Iam guilty, something happens, I start crying and  keep those negative thoughts in my head. I learned to listen to the voices of God as Iam going through what Iam though and to just be patient. It's a reason to why this happen, of course we never know the reason to why it happened at that very moment but eventually weeks, months,or even years later the answer to our why is revealed.

This is why you need to just listen to the voices in your head and take a moment to acknowledge God and his presence every chance you get. Don't wait until something tragic happens to pray or acknowledge him. It doesn't have take a journal to dedicate some of your time to him. find what works for YOU. Heather devotes 45 minutes to an hour to God and sometimes she can go up to 2 hours as where I devote 10 mins for now because I plan on devoting more time to God, he deserves it and I  need it for my heart and soul. 

You have to find what works for you but no matter what, PAY ATTENTION and LISTEN!! There is a message in everything that we go though, we just have to once again LISTEN. I plan on listening  and trusting God more. I have faith and I know that everything that I go through good and bad,
I will grow from it and learn a valuable lesson from it as well.
